Peace Watch Switzerland (PWS) n\u2019offre plus d\u2019accompagnement international au Guatemala<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fin 2019, PWS a mis fin \u00e0 sa collaboration avec le projet ACOGUATE<\/a> au Guatemala et a remis le projet Guatemala \u00e0 l’organisation genevoise Km207 Guatemala-Suisse qui travaille sur une base b\u00e9n\u00e9vole. Ce transfert assure le financement du travail d’ACOGUATE par les institutions et organisations suisses jusqu’\u00e0 fin 2021. Km207 Guatemala-Suisse n’enverra plus aucun\u00b7e volontaire au Guatemala.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s 36 ans de guerre civile, 30 ans de dictature militaire et un g\u00e9nocide contre la population Maya Ixil au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1980, le gouvernement, l’arm\u00e9e et la gu\u00e9rilla ont sign\u00e9 des accords de paix en 1996. Cependant, malgr\u00e9 le trait\u00e9 de paix, la situation sociale au Guatemala reste tr\u00e8s fragile. Les traumatismes de la guerre n’ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9s et les fractures sociales sont encore tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9sentes dans certaines r\u00e9gions.
