Le peuple afro-indig\u00e8ne des Gar\u00edfuna vit depuis des si\u00e8cles sur la c\u00f4te cara\u00efbe du Honduras, en \u00e9troite relation avec la terre et la mer. Cependant, leur lutte pour leurs droits, leurs territoires et leur identit\u00e9 devient de plus en plus ardue. Derri\u00e8re les plantations de palmiers \u00e0 huile, les projets touristiques et les \u00ab villes priv\u00e9es \u00bb se cachent en effet de puissants int\u00e9r\u00eats qui revendiquent leurs terres. Malgr\u00e9 les d\u00e9cisions de la Cour interam\u00e9ricaine des droits humains, l\u2019\u00c9tat reste inactif, tandis que les acteur\u00b7rice\u00b7x\u00b7s \u00e9conomiques et criminels agissent souvent de concert. Depuis 2023, PWS accompagne l’OFRANEH, l’organisation des communaut\u00e9s garifunas du Honduras. En septembre 2025, une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de cette organisation a attir\u00e9 l’attention de l’ONU sur des cas non \u00e9lucid\u00e9s d’enl\u00e8vements violents.
